We are seeking a highly driven and experienced profile to fill the role of Advertising Sales Manager. This is a hands-on direct sales role selling proprietary inventories in the form of various placements or partner integrations. The focus is to monetize these properties, primarily through search demand and SD placements. You will play a crucial role in leading and scaling our PC browser monetisation initiatives globally. This role is key to expanding partnerships with top-tier digital advertisers and agencies, optimizing revenue strategies, and ensuring consistent growth across our global PC browser user base.


We are looking for profiles from the digital advertising ecosystem (demand, supply, digital agencies, etc.). As a key stakeholder in the PC revenue organization, you will bring a proven track record in digital media sales, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the broader ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with our PC product commercial, Ad Ops, and BA teams to drive performance and growth.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the global PC browser monetisation strategy across key markets and demand verticals.
  • Build, grow, and manage high-impact partnerships with scaled direct advertisers and Tier 1 digital advertising agencies.
  • Identify and execute monetisation opportunities, including performance advertising, direct deals, and programmatic channels.
  • Leverage strong industry knowledge and networks to unlock new revenue streams and strategic collaborations.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance and work with the operations team to optimise yield and ROI through data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, marketing, and operations to align business goals with monetisation strategies.
  • Manage large advertising budgets and drive effective allocation to maximise revenue impact.
  • Proactively identify upsell opportunities and drive incremental revenue from existing partners.
  • Represent Opera at industry events, conferences, and key client meetings globally.


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital media sales, advertising partnerships, or a similar role, with a proven track record working with both scaled direct advertisers and Tier 1 digital agencies.
  • Strong network within the global digital advertising ecosystem, with demonstrated success in performance advertising and managing large budgets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • High energy, entrepreneurial and proactive approach, with a strong work ethic and hands-on attitude.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field preferred (exceptional experience may compensate for formal education).
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across global markets.
