Purpose of the role:
This role is to maintain Quality & Food Safety system for Wellness (Food & Food Supplements) category to ensure all relevant processes related to quality and food safety are followed through the life cycle of product and in entire organization, including manufacturing.
The Global Quality & Food Safety Manager reviews and reports Quality & Food Safety (QFS) system performance in front of Senior Management and drives continuous improvement activities with all stakeholders within organization through building awareness, capabilities assessment and QFS culture development.
What will you do?
- Perform regular food safety audits and inspections of the manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Support the Manufacturing Quality team with Food manufacturing standards and the plant’s food safety assessment
- Supervise food safety related informational & educational awareness campaigns, sharing learnings and warnings.
- Create QFS key staff training and competence assessment programs
- Create networks for excellence to drive QFS culture. Knowledge sharing and performance improvement
- Analyze trends and risk environment for Wellness category products jointly with relevant Category Quality manager.
- Monitor GMP and Hygiene standards and their implementation in manufacturing locations
- Lead cross-functional projects related to Wellness category impacting the quality of product on “end to end” Supply Chain (from suppliers, manufacturing, distribution to end customer)
- Ensure the resolution of non-conformances through use of root cause analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Develops with support of direct manager, measures, and reports of company quality KPIs related to Food Safety.
Your background and your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field)
- 2-3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field
- Thorough understanding of food/food supplements manufacturing process, FSCC 22000 and/or BRC standards, GMP and auditing skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in identifying safety issues and analyzing data to develop preventive measures.
- Leadership skills, able to build coalitions for change, and interpersonal ability to interface with all levels of management
- Innovative, challenging status quo
- Fluency of English
- Ability to work in a multicultural and cross functional environment
- Open for international travel at least few times per a year
