Senior Group Internal Auditor - Data Analyst

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Support in the creation of the Data Analytics strategy.

  • Once in place, take the ownership in the execution of the Data Analytics strategy.

  • Use Data analytics to drive detailed insights during Internal audit planning and fieldwork.

  • Lead the delivery of independent, risk based internal audits across Pepco Group in accordance with professional standards as determined by the Chartered Institute of Internal Audit (CIIA).

  • Meet customer needs by providing independent and objective assurance and consulting activity to add value to the organisation.

  • Ensure that the purpose, authority and responsibility of the Group Internal Audit team is always followed.

  • Execution of the approved Group Internal Audit – conducting audit engagements through the phases of planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.

  • Own relationships with business stakeholders across the Group.

  • Manage audit actions to closure with business stakeholders.

  • Follow the methodology for delivery of internal audit services, and ensure methodical documentation of work plans, accountabilities and systems, testing results, conclusions and recommendations, including the follow up on findings and corrective actions.

  • Manage relationships with external partners such as external audit providers.

 

Join Pepco, if you have:

  • 5+ years of business or audit experience gained within a multinational group or a large accounting firm.

  • 3+ years hands on Data Analytics experience.

  • Experience using data visualisation tools to present complex analysis is essential e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Professional IT Audit (CISA, CISM or CISSP) and / or Data Analytics certifications.

  • Good working knowledge of Internal Audit methodology, ideally within the retail sector.

  • Good working knowledge of various Data Analytic tools.

  • Fluency in English is essential.

  • Structured, critical thinker who can work independently and self-sufficiently with little hand holding.

  • Hardworking, diligent and strong attention to detail.

  • An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Expert in manipulating data to drive audit insight and efficiency using various tools including SQL, PowerBI, Python and Microsoft Excel.

  • Expertise with data segmentation, data analysis, and developing insightful reports and dashboards.

  • ITGC skills.

  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Openness to business travels up to 20% to group locations.
