Your key responsibilities will be:
- Conduct stock balances reconciliation on a regular basis, highlight inconsistency and follow up on issues as they arise. Investigating root causes, identify discrepancies, recommend mitigating actions and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure that stock data across different systems are accurately aligned to support effective inventory management.
- Understand the full stock cycle in Pepco, from order placement, payments, to when products are sold.
- Provide regular stock reporting, by location and by category, comparing actuals vs. budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee and validate reporting to ensure reliable data for financial analysis and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies related to stock management and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in stock management practices.
- Act as a Subject matter expert in cross-functional projects, taking an active role in improving stock management processes, system integration and collaborating closely with various stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and efficient migration of stock data during ERP or other system implementations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights related to stock management.
- Provide training and support to team members on stock management policies and best practices.
- Cooperating closely with IT, Treasury, FP&A, Commercial Finance and Planning teams.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Min. 6 years of proven track record in managerial or independent financial roles within the multisite retail or consumer sector.
- University degree in finance, accounting or similar.
- Qualified accountant: ACCA, CIMA or ACA or equivalent, would be an advantage.
- Strong financial accounting knowledge and technical accounting proficiency.
- English language – advanced.
- Tech and system savvy, ERPs, strong Excel skills.
- Analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and to thrive in a complex, fast-pace business environment.
