Full-Time CFO @ Backend Developers

Backend Developers Ltd, a fully remote Python backend software house, is looking for a seasoned CFO to take charge of our financial operations and strategy in a full-time capacity. As a key member of the executive team, you will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of our company. Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growth.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team to guide decision-making.

Financial Management:

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance and implement improvements to ensure profitability.
• Manage relationships with banks, payment providers, accounting firms, and other financial partners.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws in all operational jurisdictions, including the management of international transactions and the application of relevant legal frameworks in various markets.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis for stakeholders.

Operational Finance:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Lead the optimization of financial processes and tools to improve efficiency.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with other departments to align financial goals with business priorities.
• Mentor and guide team members on financial best practices.
• Lead a small team which issues and gathers invoices, inputs and checks transfers
• Build tools in Microsoft Excel to facilitate the ongoing operations as well as periodic reports 

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 2 years in an independent position.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and strategic financial planning.
• Hands-on experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel/Google Sheets, with the ability to write custom reports and formulas.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in a remote / SMB environment is highly desirable.
• Experience in cryptocurrency is a plus.
