OTC Trader (Energy Market)

🎯​ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Acquire new counterparties for OTC transactions in the European electricity market.
2. Prepare trade proposals and manage the OTC trading flow.
3. Negotiate deals with both new and existing clients.
4. Monitor market prices and trends, analyze the market, and identify trading opportunities.
5. Develop and execute trading strategies in collaboration with analysts and colleagues.
6. Build and maintain a network through participation in business events, fairs, and industry gatherings.
7. Act as a valuable information source for trading counterparties.
8. Conduct market research to analyze trends, identify potential clients, and monitor competitors.
9. Collaborate with the back office team on transaction settlements.
10. Take responsibility for achieving personal revenue targets and contributing to the company’s growth.

💼​​ KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, trading, business development, or account management, ideally within the energy or gas sector.
2. Proven knowledge of the electricity market and OTC (Over The Counter) trading mechanisms.
3. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive and independent approach.
5. Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
6. High resilience to stress and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
8. Very good command of English (minimum B2/C1); proficiency in other European languages, i.a. German or French is a strong advantage.
