Development Engineer - CUBIC

On behalf of CUBIC, a Rockwell Automation Company, we are looking for Development Engineer.

Design customized electro-mechanical enclosures for OEM's and large customers to serve the industrial control enclosure market under the direction of the Cubic R&D Manager. Responsible for product design, using capabilities in the analysis, design, scheduling of tasks and assessment of costs. Participates in directing activities to support execution of those designs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design customized enclosure solutions for OEM and large customers, supporting the design from concept through production
• Document and communicate conceptual thoughts, conditions, restrictions, and analysis that serve as justification to meet design and testing requirements.
• Work in a team environment comprised of several departments of engineers and partners (Sales, Product / Business Management, Manufacturing Engineering/Industrialization, Product Quality / Certification)
• Participate in project planning and assume responsibility for completion of tasks.
• Participant in prototype validation testing and product qualification testing

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• A minimum of a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experienced with parametric solid modelling software such as Creo (preferred)

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Familiar with UL, IEC, and CE Standards.
• Experienced with Agile practices such as Scrum & SAFe
• 2 years of related experience in Industrial product design
• Familiarity with various manufacturing technologies such as sheet metal manufacturing, machining, bus bar manufacturing & associated tooling.
