As a MES / Industry 4.0 Specialist you will be a part of the EMEA Digital Manufacturing & Innovation department that develops the software in the field of Fourth Industrial revolution. Our teams concentrate the best specialists in the field of MES, ERP, IoT, Big Data, PLC integration, software development AR/VR, leading projects for transformation and digitalization of production processes in the EMEA region. The main responsibilities of this position are the development, implementation and maintenance of the systems included in The Connected Enterprise portfolio in the EMEA region.

EMEA Digital Manufacturing Engineer / Industry 4.0


Your responsibilities:

  • Ensures continuous delivery of technology solutions, application configuration, customization, integration with ERP & strategic enterprise platforms with automation layer at EMEA region
  • Design, document, implement, and maintain essential systems for automated manufacturing equipment
  • Integrate automated manufacturing equipment with manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Provide appropriate and timely technical advice on matters relating to MES systems and manufacturing data system
  • Provide engineering technical expertise to ensure the operational reliability of Industry 4.0 systems
  • Work with automation equipment vendors to design/document equipment interface specifications
  • Solicit and document Voice of Customer from manufacturing sites
  • Collaborates with MES engineers/specialists from other regions (NA/LA/AP) to create and develop standard and scalable system functionalities

 

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering / Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Experience with MES deployment (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience integrating automated manufacturing equipment with MES systems (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience with Project management (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience with data integration mechanisms (SAP)
  • Experience with data structures, data models or relational database design (SQL databases)
  • Experience in system validation and qualification
  • Knowledge of Big Data and data analytics tools
  • Understanding of the Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Good knowledge of English writing and speaking (minimum B2 level)
  • Customer focus and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with an agile environment (i.e. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and plan activities, work on multiple concurrent tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to generate and communicate high level flow charts for process and data flows
  • Ability to travel globally (30%)
  • Ability to learn and adopt to new technologies
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to convince users in technical discussions
