SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES POLAND based in Sędziszów Małopolski is a leading leader in the aviation industry market and one of the most dynamically developing companies from the Aviation Valley. The factory, which has been operating since 2017 and employs over 300 people, produces turbine blades for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines.
In 2023, together with the French branch of Safran Aircraft Engines, a Research and Development Center was established in Rzeszów. Over 250 engineers will be employed here. In the newly established office, engineers will deal with various types of simulations relating to components of the entire aircraft engine.
Your responsibilities
The team responsibility is aero design of the jet engine from individual part through engine systems integration (Core & SAS - Turbine, Compressor, Externals) for various engine components.
You will participate in aero design of ducted and unducted engine architectures intended for advanced civil applications. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with international group of experts, including the aero-acoustics, thermal and mechanical engineering offices, as well as the teams responsible for integration of the modules.
You will also support the implementation of maturation plans for these technologies, through the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of test results.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting CFD studies in our exciting projects (eg. RISE), preparing and interpreting test results to verify the aerodynamic performance of components. These tests may be conducted on wind tunnel models and/or actual engines on test stands.
Our enthusiastic and fastly growing Aero & Thermal Team of Research & Development Center of Safran Aircraft Engines Poland has a wide spectrum of responsibility, projects, tools and methods used which will allow for your continuous long-term development.
