We are currently seeking a Scientist to join our research team and support the execution of a long-term research project. This role focuses on recombinant protein production and purification, including genetic construct design, optimization of expression systems, and development of robust purification processes. 

The successful candidate will contribute to experimental planning and execution, data analysis, and accurate documentation of research activities in line with internal standards. While the position is strongly focused on protein production, experience in structural biology will be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design genetic constructs for recombinant protein overexpression.

• Optimize recombinant protein production across multiple expression systems (bacterial, mammalian, and insect cells).

• Develop and optimize purification methods for recombinant proteins.

• Execute protein overexpression and purification workflows based on established protocols.

• Assess the quality of produced material using appropriate analytical techniques.

• Analyze experimental data and draw scientifically sound conclusions.

• Document research activities in the accordance with internal standards and prepare clear, concise reports. 

 Your Background

• MSc or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline.

• Hands-on experience in recombinant protein production workflows.

• Strong theoretical and practical background in protein purification, particularly chromatographic techniques (affinity chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, ion exchange chromatography).

• Well-developed analytical thinking skills and the ability to interpret experimental data.

• Ability to effectively work with and interpret scientific literature.

• Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
