Backend Developer

The SIX Central IT Software Engineering team specializes in designing, developing, and continuously optimizing custom applications and integrated solutions using public cloud technologies. We leverage agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust, scalable, and user-centric applications tailored to diverse business requirements. As a (Junior) Backend Developer, you will play a supportive role in our team, contributing to the development and maintenance of our cloud-based solutions. With a foundational understanding of software development and a willingness to learn, you'll assist in ensuring our solutions align with the dynamic needs of our internal customers. Your role will involve collaboration with more experienced team members to gain insights and improve our applications.

This is a temporary replacement position for 6 months.

What You Will Do

• Take active part in development and maintenance of full stack applications, using technologies such as Java, Docker, GitLab, and Azure Cloud

• Participate in collaborative efforts with team members and internal customers to support the design and enhancement of custom-developed cloud solutions, including the use of public cloud services (IaaS/PaaS)

• Learn from senior developers and gradually enhance your web development skills, with an emphasis on innovation and staying updated with emerging technologies

• Contribute to projects utilizing various technologies, focusing on learning, customer satisfaction, and quality delivery

What You Bring

• Knowledge of Java, with a desire to develop expertise in the latest versions

• Nice-to-have experience with Angular

• A proactive and quality-focused work ethic, eager to learn and contribute to a team environment

• Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal). German language skills would be a plus, but not required
