Mechanical Engineer (drivelines)

Your responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of Electric Driveline and/or Traditional (Diesel) Driveline systems and components
• Conduct engineering analysis and calculations for components and subsystems
• Comprehensive understanding of component drawing requirements, including tolerances and GD&T
• Provide technical support for component issues during validation or warranty stages
• Lead benchmarking activities and lessons learned reviews.
• Knowledge of power hydraulics
• Participate in sea trials and provide production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure component reliability and manufacturability
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize driveline performance and cost
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and contribute to innovation and design improvements

Our requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with mechanical systems is essential
• Proven expertise in creating and maintaining 2D/3D technical drawings and models using Solidworks and AutoCAD software
• Demonstrated experience in the design, development, validation, and release of components and/or subsystems
• Experience in a production environment and familiarity with quality control processes
• Agile approach to problem-solving and ability to make data-driven decisions
• Fluency in English
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements

Optional

• Experience in the marine industry
• Knowledge and experience in marine propulsion, automotive propulsion, or heavy machinery engineering
• Background in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, or similar quality management methodologies
