We are looking for a Mortgage Credit Analyst (Spain Market) to join us at this pivotal moment, share our vision, and help shape the future of European banking.
What you will be doing?
Join our international team in Poland to help shape the future of digital banking across Europe.
While location of work is based in Poland, you will support our Spanish mortgage lending portfolio. The role involves manual underwriting of secured retail products while working closely with cross-border stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Underwriting: Manually assess residential mortgage applications (purchase and refinancing), evaluating affordability, income stability, and debt capacity.
Collateral Review: Analyze property valuations, LTV ratios, and legal documentation specific to the Spanish market.
Risk Decisioning: Approve or decline applications based on internal credit policy and Spanish regulatory requirements.
Portfolio Health: Monitor risk indicators and collaborate with Risk and Legal teams to refine underwriting criteria.
Data & Reporting: Use SQL (BigQuery) to analyze application trends and streamline manual workflows.
Skills you should have
2–5 years in mortgage underwriting or secured retail lending, with exposure to the Spanish mortgage market.
Deep understanding of affordability assessments, LTV limits, and collateral evaluation.
Proficient in SQL (BigQuery) for reporting and performance analysis.
Familiarity with Spanish mortgage lending practices and consumer protection laws is highly desirable.
Professional fluency in English and Polisj is required; Spanish is a strong advantage.
Degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field.
