Financial Reporting & Controlling Specialist

Who we’re looking for:

We are currently looking for a proactive Financial Reporting & Controlling Specialist who will take over preparing monthly operational and financial reports, be the bridge between Positive Group Polska (User.com) and the financial team of Positive Group, as well as act as direct support to our heads of teams in the area of finance, accounting and ad hoc data analysis.

Our ideal candidate has at least 4 years of combined professional experience in the area of accounting / financial reporting / internal controlling. Key responsibilities of Financial Reporting & Controlling Specialist:

• ensuring correctness of accounting data (internal control of elements such as provisions / accruals creation, re-invoicing, reconciliation of accounts etc.)  
• constant cooperation with external accounting team, implementation of new processes and improvement of the existing ones
• preparing monthly operational and financial reports (MRR and operational metrics, budget vs. actual, presentations for financial committee etc.)
• taking care of ad hoc accounting requests from the Positive Group team in France like, for example, digging deeper into accounts and explaining a given matter in English
• monthly analysis of trial balances, statements, reports of receivables ageing
• verification of data, data quality assurance
• preparing monthly estimates of cost provisions for an accounting team 
• running ad hoc data analyses
• direct cooperation with the Group CFO in France

You are a great match for this position if you:

• are graduate of a financial / accounting degree
• have at least 4 years of professional experience in the area of financial reporting / accounting / internal control
• have very good excel skills and simply like working with spreadsheets and numbers (you eat VLOOKUP for breakfast and get excited when you hear about SUMIFS)
• have passion for accounting and finance 
• are eager to learn by doing, have proactive approach and high level of self motivation
• are able to work independently, without constant supervision
• have some understanding of current accounting law in PL and EU
• have interest in SaaS business operations, KPIs / metrics (it is a plus)
• have English at C1+ level (including financial & accounting language), Polish at C1+ level; knowledge of French is a plus
• are eager to learn and develop every day,
• are able to work from our Warsaw office.
