Financial Controller

Vector Synergy provides consulting, IT and cyber security services to support multi-national projects for prestigious clients in Europe including NATO and EU institutions. We have an EU/NATO Facility Security Clearance Certificate and most of their consultants hold personal security clearances, which enables them to support classified projects marked with the clause secret or top secret.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our finance team and support the organisation with planning, financial analysis and budgetary control. The person in this position will be responsible for financial reporting and supporting strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

✔️ Senior Financial Controller

✔️ Preparation of financial reports, analysis and budget forecasts

✔️ Monitoring of costs and analysis of budget deviations

✔️ Supporting the month-end closing process and reporting to the group

✔️ Optimisation of controlling and reporting processes

✔️ Cooperation with internal and external auditors

✔️ Profitability analysis and support in business decision making

✔️ Participation in the forecasting, budgeting and budget settlement process

✔️ Explaining deviations

✔️ Preparation of ad hoc reports for management

✔️ Responding to queries from internal and external users

✔️ Analysis of project and client profitability

✔️ Preparation of KPI reports

✔️ Participation in company expansion projects

✔️ Optimisation of tools/reports used

✔️ Simple searches in the tax area

✔️ Preparation of documents and statements as required by the department

Requirements:

✅ University degree in finance, accounting or economics

✅ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position

✅ Knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards (IFRS/US GAAP)

✅ Very good knowledge of Excel and ER systems

✅ Ability to think analytically and draw business conclusions

✅ Knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level

✅ Experience in auditing and consulting is welcome
