Opis stanowiska

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to lead the development and growth of selected non-food product categories. This role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial mindset and experience working with a variety of non-food products (such as household goods, seasonal items, lifestyle products, DIY, or similar categories).

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing supplier relationships globally, negotiating purchasing conditions, and shaping the long-term strategy for the category. The position requires close cooperation with suppliers from different international markets, including China, and participation in international trade fairs to identify new opportunities and trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy for the growth and development of the assigned product category.

  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify new opportunities and trends.

  • Co-create purchasing and assortment plans aligned with market demand and business goals.

  • Negotiate purchasing terms and commercial agreements with international suppliers, building long-term partnerships.

  • Identify and source new suppliers and products from global markets, including participation in international trade fairs.

  • Optimize commercial conditions and service quality in cooperation with key business partners.

  • Oversee the ordering process, ensuring alignment with forecasts and responding to any deviations from plans.

  • Collaborate closely with Buyers and cross-functional teams to expand and optimize the product portfolio.

  • Manage the budget, revenue performance, and profitability of the assigned category.

  • Prepare performance reports and work closely with management on category and assortment development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the areas of category management, product management, purchasing, or supplier sourcing and buying.

  • Experience working with non-food product categories (e.g., household goods, DIY, seasonal items, lifestyle products, home décor).

  • Strong experience in supplier negotiations and international sourcing, including cooperation with suppliers in China.

  • Experience working with retail partners or retail chains is a plus.

  • Experience in budget and revenue management for a product category.

  • Good command of English (spoken and written).

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
