At VirtusLab Group, we build future-ready software that helps businesses reach peak performance. Now, we’re looking for a confident and strategic Head of Marketing (HoM) who will lead and activate marketing across the entire VirtusLab Group, including VirtusLab, plus three specialist & unique brands (Softwaremill, Sensinum, and ReasonField), to deliver growth, greater visibility, and market traction.
About the role
It’s a role for a proven marketing leader with a deep understanding of the developer audience, a feel for technical storytelling, and a drive to make a measurable business impact.
From Day 1, you’ll:
Activate marketing across all brands – work closely with existing marketing teams (VirtusLab & Softwaremill) to launch campaigns, build thought leadership, and create compelling content for technical and business audiences.
Lead US expansion – drive visibility and engagement at key US events, build awareness through storytelling and case studies, and generate the first qualified pipeline from the US within 90 days.
Showcase European excellence – promote VirtusLab Group expertise in Developer Experience (DX), Data (AI/ML), and Scala, across Europe and the US.
Unify and differentiate – establish VirtusLab as the Group parent brand while strategically positioning and activating sub-brands where relevant.
Act as a visible and authentic ambassador of VirtusLab Group – sharing our story across public channels, conferences, and executive communities to build trust and recognition.
Leverage modern AI tools – apply AI-driven tools to boost team productivity, campaign impact, and marketing efficiency.
Cooperate with Tech Executives and CxOs – offering insight, strategy, and confidence in marketing-led growth.
What we expect in general
~10 years of senior marketing experience in IT consulting or professional IT services.
Technical audience fluency – deep understanding of developer ecosystems, with the credibility to speak to experts in Scala, AI/ML, and DX.
Revenue-focused Marketing – proven success in demand generation, ABM, and digital campaign execution that delivers pipeline and revenue.
Modern marketing operations mindset – hands-on experience with automation tools and marketing analytics.
Nice to have
Experience with global brand expansion, ideally from Europe to the US — with measurable increases in brand equity and market traction.
Multi-brand strategy expertise – successful integration of acquired or specialist brands under one marketing vision.
