About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven International Category Buyer to play a pivotal role in shaping the product portfolio across our international convenience retail chains. You will be responsible for developing cross-border category strategies, sourcing innovative products from multiple markets, and driving profitability through commercial excellence and supplier collaboration.
This role combines strategic vision with hands-on category execution in a dynamic, fast-growing, and truly international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Development
Contribute to the development and implementation of international category strategies aligned with company goals and market potential.
Support the identification and introduction of products that differentiate the brand and enhance category performance.
Market & Trend Analysis
Monitor global and regional market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity.
Translate selected market findings into recommendations that support sourcing and assortment decisions.
Supplier & Sourcing Management
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers across markets, supporting negotiations and onboarding processes to ensure optimal value and compliance.
Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance reviews.
Financial & Performance Management
Contribute to category performance monitoring, supporting revenue, margin, and cost-efficiency objectives.
Prepare data-driven business cases and financial analyses for new product introductions and market expansion initiatives.
Cross-Functional & International Collaboration
Collaborate with local category, marketing, logistics, and finance teams to support effective execution of category plans.
Participate in international sourcing projects and assist with coordinated category rollouts across markets.
What We Expect:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Category Manager, Buyer, or in a similar role.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Fluent English (minimum B2+ level), with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented and execution-focused approach.
Advanced command of Excel;
Knowledge of SQL or Power BI will be considered an advantage.
