We are looking for an exceptional Demand Planner who will be responsible for the availability of goods & will ensure accurate production planning by preparing high-quality oriented, mid- and long-term forecasts. Being a part of a very strategic area of the business - the Own Brands Food team, you will be one of the main drivers of demand optimization for increasing profitability, thus, having a great impact on zooplus' success.

As a Demand Planner, you will:
- Contribute to the development & enhancement of our forecast and reorder quantity optimization models based on portfolio changes, industry trends, and demand patterns
- Enhance SOPs to adapt to changes in processes while challenging status-quo
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Data Science, and Analytics to incorporate current and long-term market intelligence into the demand plan and forecasting models
- Successfully communicate procurement and inventory forecast with risk assessments and mitigation activities while addressing demand-related issues with key cross-functional stakeholders
- Create actionable re-order plans that balance optimal inventory and availability
- Support the development of our analytical models with SQL queries and ad-hoc analysis
- Manage Demand and Supply Plan in the short-term planning horizon for the portfolio of Own Brands Food
- Work closely with local brand management, sales, as well as our procurement & inventory team
- Proactively support the business by providing up-to-date merchandise availability information, ensuring inventory is allocated according to demand, and avoiding overstock
- Monitor the product portfolio with a special focus on just-in-time deliveries of launches, availability of bestsellers, and delivery of special items
- Further develop planning processes as well as analysis and reporting tools
- Collaborate in local and international supply chain projects
Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies in the areas of supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a commercial apprenticeship with specialized further training
- Several years of professional experience in the area of supply chain or planning, ideally in the demand & supply planning area of an FMCG company
- Good understanding of the entire end-to-end supply chain process
- Proficiency in Excel, Python, and SQL (VBA or another scripting language is a plus)
- Very good analytical skills, strong affinity and love for data & numbers and the ability to communicate those numbers across different levels of seniority
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with marketing and sales, ideally in an international environment
- Organizational talent with a structured approach to work and high problem-solving skills
- Communicative personality with fun in teamwork
- Very good ERP knowledge (ideally SAP)
- Very good level of Business English
