Functional Safety System Developer

As center of competence for Powertrain Software-, Function-Development and System-integration, AVL Software & Functions at its location Warsaw (Poland) is looking for the following support:

WAW - Functional Safety System Developer - Expert Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

• Planning, coordination and proceeding of safety requirements activities in safety-related development projects in appliance of requirements out of ISO26262 and other safety standards
• Performing safety related activities e.g. Hazard and Risk Analysis, Generation of Functional / Technical Safety Concepts for drivetrain, Safety Validation reports
• Performing safety related analyses, e.g. FMEA, FTA, DFA acc. to the corresponding standards
• Analysis and evaluation of safety critical functions according to the requirements of the standard and component-related safety concepts
• Development of innovative strategies and safety functions for automotive applications
• Application and further development of safety method and functions
• Lead R&D project

Your profile:

• Successfully finished studies of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related
• At least 3 years of experiences in system or requirement engineering
• Experience in the area (IEC 61508, ISO 26262) and related methods, e.g. H&R, FMEA, FTA is welcomed
• Experience with risk assessment and performing safety / reliability analyses is desirable
• Experience in the area of power electronics and / or control electronics would be desirable
• Profound communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Analytical and conceptual capabilities
• Very good English skills
