Job responsibilities:
- Global manufacturing engineer developing and optimizing large volume production manufacturing solutions for new electrification products
- Ensure that manufacturing best practices and lessons learned are implemented into new designs
- Support process standard development, definition, documentation and deployment
- Work within Manufacturing Engineering teams: multi-regional Global team and local plant team
- Support production Equipment specifications definition and the associated sourcing process
- Follow up machine projects with external suppliers, from design to qualification. Bring new Equipment in plant according to specification, time and budget
- Participate or Lead new equipment FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
- Support production plant for new products, process and equipment implementation and launch
- Support production plant for problem solving in manufacturing
- Support process documentation release: PFD's, PFMEA's
- & PCP's and Operator work instructions
- Support new business pursuit by providing guidance and estimates for manufacturing process and cost
Essential Requirements:
- Master of Sciences in Mechanical or Automation Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience of Manufacturing Engineering in automotive or mass production environments
- Ability to read, and preferably create, comprehensive mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics using specified software (ex. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Analytical, technical and statistical skills. Good problem-solving capabilities
- Thorough knowledge and exposure to some of the following technologies: automatic assembly, screw driving, air leak testing, laser welding, Siemens Step7 PLC control programming, robotics and vision applications will be a plus
- Knowledge and exposure to lean manufacturing principals and their application
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the Organization
- Capability to work in a multi-cultural and multi sites/ regions organization
- Detail oriented, target oriented and self-motivated
- Fluent in English
- Readiness for international business travelling
