Legal Management Consulting

Today’s world requires a new approach to the delivery of legal services. Now more than ever, legal departments and law firms are having to address the challenge of dealing with increasing complexity and demand with the same or fewer resources whilst still maintaining the quality of legal services provided. The Deloitte Legal Management Consulting team which is part of Deloitte Legal looks to help clients address this challenge by working with legal departments and law firms to help them rethink their operating models from a process, people and technology perspective to achieve greater efficiencies and increase the value they deliver back to their stakeholders. This team is growing and is looking to hire a Junior Consultant with previous consulting/transformation experience to be part of a team delivering disruptive high-quality consulting services in a dynamic and growing marketplace.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in management consulting or related field
• Demonstrable knowledge of the challenges and requirements of an in-house legal department
• Proven experience in helping coordinate/manage change and transformation projects, either as an external consultant or internal change agent. Experience of legal transformation projects would be an asset
• Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work equally effectively as part of a team or individually on your own initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication allied with well-developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to adjust style and approach for different audiences
• Able to draft initial recommendations to clients based on client interviews, research and analysis
• Basic proficiency with MS Office and expertise in the analysis and presentation of data
• A flexible, can-do approach and positive mind-set. You enjoy working as part of diverse teams to overcome challenges and exceed client expectations
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail with the proven ability to maintain professional standards in the face of challenging deadlines
• Professional manner and high level of personal accountability allied with high standards of client care, confidentiality and integrity
• Degree or similar qualification(s) demonstrating a passion for personal development
• A willingness to learn about the various tools available to legal departments teams and an interest in using technology to solve client challenges.

Your future role

• Assignments will cover the full spectrum of the legal market, working with legal departments and law firms.

• You will work closely with the Deloitte Legal Management Consulting team based in the United Kingdom (UK)
• Your primary focus will be the delivery of client work to successfully fulfil and exceed client expectations, delivering engagement and programme objectives.
• You will work as part of a team of specialists providing consulting services to major clients.
• You will be expected to coordinate and communicate within project teams and with client stakeholders, maintaining and developing relationships at appropriate levels.
• You will need to maintain and improve existing service offerings, contributing to the development of new services that anticipate and meet future client needs.
