Position Overview:

Develop, coordinate and execute global category management strategies related to Indirect Spend Categories like Purchased Labor, Consultant SoW Based, MRO & Office suppliers etc & negotiating contracts terms and conditions favorable to the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate as an individual contributor to collectively manage strategic sourcing and procurement operations for $100Mn/year
  • Oversee, conduct and actively manage the end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement process for Purchased Labor, Consultant SoW Based, MRO & Office suppliers etc.
  • Provide purchasing and sourcing support to multiple legal entities for their continuous as well as one time requirements
  • Conduct detailed spend analysis and bench-marking, evaluate market and competitive conditions and use as a basis to create data based Category strategies and sourcing activities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for the relevant category in order to ensure quality of services and improve savings value and identify savings opportunities
  • Contract negotiations & renewals, market analysis, project management & implementation, subject matter expertise in value creation for the above given indirect procurement categories
  • Track and report savings, support procure-to-pay process improvement within the Category area, monitor TCO improvement related to both P&L, working capital as well as Cost Avoidance Projects
  • Develop and submit reports for senior management, identify and evaluate market changes and new technologies – make appropriate fact-based recommendations for adoption by stakeholders.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree (preferably combination of management and engineering) with 7+ years of experience in Indirect Spend
  • Experience as a Lean and/or process excellence leader with demonstrated ability in organizational transformation
  • Ability to work with multiple global cross-functional teams to drive process standardization and improvement and lead digital transformation
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and DN’s senior management
  • Experience in working in different cultures and environments, in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Strong business acumen and subscribe to a value system and business ethics.
