Finance Manager – Poland, Romania, Moldova, Czech Republic

About the role:

As a Finance Manager, you will provide ‘on the ground’ regional financial leadership and management of the Herbalife Nutrition Eastern European entities: Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Czech Republic, as well as work closely with the Financial Controller – Slovakia, Hungary, GBSC, and Bulgaria, to ensure up-to-date and compliant accounting records for both US GAAP and local statutory purposes. You will also monitor the SLA / SPA and KPIs for Herbalife Nutrition Eastern European entities that are maintained to agreed-upon standards and take appropriate corrective action when deviations take.


In this role, you will:

  • Provides ‘on the ground’ regional financial leadership and management of the Herbalife entities located in Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Moldova (the entities),
  • Works closely with the EMEA GBS staff located in Krakow, Poland to ensure up-to-date and compliant accounting records for both US GAAP and local statutory purposes,
  • Monitors the Service Level Agreement / Service Partnership Agreement (SLA / SPA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the entities are maintained to agreed-upon standards and takes appropriate corrective action when deviations take,
  • Provides oversight of tax affairs (direct and indirect), statutory accounting and fiscal issues and ensuring adherence to all local fiscal and corporate regulations in all the entities,
  • Works closely with the EMEA SOX team to ensure an entities comply to corporate finance policies, internal controls and required standard reports, including all SOX controls,
  • Works closely with the EMEA Ethics and Compliance (ECO) team to ensure an entities comply with all ethics and compliance policies,
  • Works closely with the EMEA Business System Support team to ensure financial systems for an entities are maintained and that all Helpdesk Tickets and Change Management Requests are monitored and implemented in a timely manner,
  • Assists the Herbalife Finance and Operations assigned to the entities on ad hoc projects,
  • Provide support and guidance to Financial Controller – GBSC, SK, HU, and BU.

Our Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience at the managerial level within Finance / Accounting in an International / Multi-national company,
  • Degree qualification,
  • Professional qualification, Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant,
  • Big 4 experience,
  • Very good command of English and Polish (fluent level),
  • A good all-round knowledge of local corporate and income taxes, local GAAP, and US GAAP,
  • Knowledgeable in upcoming tax rules and requirements in the entities,
  • Experienced in ERP systems (preferably Oracle) both use and implementation, proficient with Microsoft Office,
  • Very strong supervisory and interpersonal skills demonstrated leadership skills and a team player,
  • Ability to communicate in a professional way with financial institutions, distributors, and local staff.
