Senior Payroll SME


The main purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timely support for UK payroll process. You will be a part of an international team, within EMEA region (i.e., such markets as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kenya, Portugal, Slovakia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Poland).

In this role you will...


  • Handle an end-to-end processing of monthly and yearly payroll processes for UK
  • Effectively manage and collaborate with external vendors
  • Deliver timely and accurate payroll results aligned to Haleon global payroll standards and framework
  • Update and maintain payroll records (Joiners/Leavers/Changes) and payroll master data
  • Process all variable wage components like hours, bonuses, provision, capture of holidays, etc.
  • Process payroll related allowances and deductions, delivering yearly bonus and merit cycle
  • Process payroll weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly reporting (with Tax Office, Pension Fund), provide input for Finance teams
  • Deal with financial controls, incl. SOX and operational controls maintained at a local country level
  • Deliver on-time excellent service to Employees and stakeholders
  • Implement continues improvements within functional area of payroll process
  • Import/export payroll interface files, be a point of escalations for pay related employee queries


Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Min. 1 year of demonstrated payroll processing experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Very good command of English
  • Knowledge of payroll legislations and processes, understanding of international assignees employee payroll
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail, numerical ability and data entry skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within respect of deadlines
  • Focus on continuous Improvement in payroll and HR administration processes


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in UK payroll
  • Experience on payroll vendor changes projects
  • Customer service- and team-oriented approach and good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Workday, any payroll system
