In Wholesale, we heavily use Power Platform (i.e. PowerApps, Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc.) to deliver our solutions. These solutions should follow software development best practices and governance including sound design, well-written code with appropriate documentation, testing, and maintaining new and existing solutions in accordance with HSBC standards.

The Digital & Automation Delivery Manager is responsible for managing and driving the delivery of solutions to help automate and digitalise business processes across different journeys in an agile environment. At the same time he/she is also part of the Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) to support the operation of the governance body.

What you’ll do

• Develop automated solutions: Design, develop, and implement digital and automated solutions with Power Platform capabilities, such as Power Apps, Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc., as well as relevant approvals and governance processes in accordance with HSBC standards.
• Project management: Manage your own projects, including defining project scope, setting timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress.
• End-to-end project delivery: Take ownership of automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered on time and within budget.
• Stakeholder management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their automation needs and requirements and provide regular updates on project status and milestones.
• Operation with CoE: Support the operation of Power Platform CoE in HSBC, reviewing new business cases, solution design, POC platform related new features.
• Training and support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of automated solutions and maximize their benefits.
• Continuous improvement: Collect and summarise feedback and improvements areas of delivery model from stakeholders, to enable continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and industry trends, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Strong knowledge and proven successful track record in Power Platform and/or RPA technologies, and their use case assessment, implementation & delivery lifecycle.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Good understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery approach.
• Sound solution design experience, with the ability to architect and explain complex system and database interactions including data flow, common interfaces, APIs, etc. Knowledge of architecture is a definitely a plus.
• With hands on experience on one of below Power Platform capabilities or any market leading automation/ digital tools:

• Power Apps
• Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop
• Power BI
• RPA (e.g. Blue Prism/ UiPath/ Automation Anywhere)- very good to have
• VBA -very good to have

• Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Confluence and/or Jira and/or Monday.com.
• Applicants should have an IT / CS / Tech background with either a relevant bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Applicants own any certificates below is highly preferable:

• Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
• Exam PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer
• Blue Prism Developer Exam (AD01)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE – very good to have
• SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager Certification - very good to have

Optional

• Familiarity with CoE operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Wholesale Banking industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
