Senior Piping Engineer

We have more than 2500 colleagues in Poland, supporting our business in all global regions. Our Global Delivery Center (GDC) engineers in Krakow and Warsaw office collaborate on the design and delivery of local and global projects in the fields of engineering, design and construction. Our Global Business Services (GBS) specialists provide global support and expertise in the fields of Accounting, Procurement, IT, HR and Graphic Design.

Position will provide you with the opportunity to work on various projects around the World. Each day you will be an important team member as you will participate in the planning, design, coordination, and execution, of multiple projects. These Industrial and Advanced Technology (Steel, Automotive, Consumer Products, Semiconductors and Pharmaceutical) facilities of production units within liquid and gas storage systems, liquids/gas processing, pump and compressor stations, loading and unloading stations, interconnecting pipe racks, also steam tracing, and utility units located worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have strong piping engineering background and long experience in piping design as well practical engineering knowledge across multiple technical disciplines. Also have experience with all aspects of the project life cycle (conceptual and detailed design through construction) and skills to collaborate in the international taskforces.

Main responsibilities:

• Leading plant design activities as an independent area leader and cooperating with multi-discipline designers
• Performing plant and piping design work across several engineering disciplines in the 3D integrated design systems (PDS, SP3D, CADWorx)
• Introducing and performing quality review check for 3D modeling and piping deliverables
• Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations
• Assisting in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects
• Developing designer man-hour estimates for piping discipline
• Overseeing a team of less experienced piping designers
• Supervising training and mentoring less experienced designers

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• 15+ years of engineering/design experience
• 10+ years of 3D Modeling experience ( in at least one of the 3D tools: PDS, SP3D, CADWorx)
• Experience in equipment layout, piping design and pipe supports
• Very good skills in CAD software (AutoCAD) and MS office suite (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of piping specific design standards (minimum US/EU)
• Good English level – written and spoken (B2),
• Good knowledge of LEAN work practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Experience with Laser Scan generated point clouds would be an advantage
• Navisworks based reviews and clash detection experience would be an advantage
• Field experience will be an advantage
