As a Lead Web Designer you will own the visual overhaul of our brand. This is a hands-on role with great opportunity to influence an entire organization through design work. We want to redesign our websites, build a design system, and stun our clients, partners, and audiences with beautiful designs and great user experience. You will be the first graphic designer on the team leading and focusing on web design, and you will have an opportunity to lead and nurture two graphic designers, as well as liaise with the product team to develop a library of visual components for Marketing and Product.
What you will do:
- Develop intuitive, beautiful, and engaging designs across all of our websites, always prioritizing user experience.
- Create visual collateral for marketing campaigns across all channels.
- Develop Joorney’s design system, building a library of reusable components that streamline web design.
- Ensure design guidelines and best practices are consistently adhered to throughout the design process and quality-check all design outputs.
- Lead and nurture graphic designers on your team.
- Contribute to our marketing strategy by always being an active voice, sharing your perspective and insights.
- Collaborate with the rest of the Marketing team across content, events, lead gen, partnerships, web development, operations.
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, Data, Sales.
- Own and develop a design tool stack that supports fast delivery and easy collaboration.
- Make decisions and move swiftly. Don't be afraid to fail fast, learn, and restart, ensuring clients and partners are at the heart of everything you do.
- Research, explore, and experiment with new ideas.
What you have:
- Strong expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). After Effects (or similar) experience is a plus.
- Great knowledge and understanding of UX/UI principles.
- Knowledge of CSS, HTML & responsive design.
- Passion about graphic/web design, desire to continuously learn and experiment for the good of the end user.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, remaining calm under pressure, possessing a positive attitude. You should also be agile in prioritizing all open projects.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and structured working style.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Global mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Partial availability during EST hours for communication with team members located in North and South America.
