Global Customs & Trade Senior Manager 

Responsibilities

• Overseeing a team of 10 to 40 customs professionals.
• Managing and supervising the day-to-day delivery of customs & trade services to international clients in the areas of customs classification (HTS), Free Trade Agreement Solicitation/Qualification, Broker Management/Coordination & Reconciliation.
• Coordinating service delivery with other locations on a global scale.
• Reviewing team delivery costs and pursuing incremental cost improvements in process, technology and training areas.
• Driving the review and quality process for KMPG managed services deliverables, including HTS Classification, FTA Operations, Reconciliation and other customs services.
• Applying independent judgment to review intermediate and complex trade compliance work product, confirm its correctness and identify necessary revisions.
• Training/mentoring staff and serving as trusted performance manager who provides continuous development feedback.
• Contributing to the enhancement of our managed services solution in the area of process, training, and technology.

Requirements

• Minimum 8-10 years of recent direct experience in customs managed services delivery.
• Experience leading/directing customs projects or workstreams.
• Experience managing a team of 10 or more staff.
• Experience coordinating the delivery of customs services across multiple offices and locations.
• Expert level customs classification skills/knowledge and strong understanding of Free Trade Agreements – solicitation and qualification areas.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to plan and conduct in-depth reviews of transactional data using data and analytics.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
