Business Analyst

Role overview:

We are looking for someone to join one of the projects in the banking industry. The Enterprise Data Tooling Team is responsible for the delivery of Data Governance related applications for the Bank. It ensures the evolution and support of applications following agile methodology and on-site and cloud-based solutions. We use a variety of technologies and work with enterprise-scale architecture. The team is focused on designing, developing and maintaining the bank's enterprise data architecture solutions. 

We work in a hybrid model: 40% from the office (located in the centre of Warsaw or Wroclaw) & 60% remote.

As a member of the team, you will:

• Describing business requirements as functional and non-functional requirements (User Stories) in line with team strategy, architecture principles and best practices.
• Revising documented functional/non-functional requirements with Clients to ensure alignment with business requirements and with engineers to ensure a clear understanding of the requirement and acceptance criteria.
• Investigate, research and propose the best possible solutions or alternatives to fulfil business requirements.
• Adhere to sprint schedule deadlines and transparently communicate the status of BA work.
• Provide inputs to Project Managers and SCRUM master for Sprint planning activities and backlog prioritization.
• Cooperate with other IT teams to coordinate large deliverables involving multiple teams.
• Facilitate the requirement workshops to ensure timely decision-making on the client side.

The position is ideal for you if you have:

• Experienced as Business Analyst within data projects (data governance / DWH / BI, etc.) / understanding of data management.
• Seniority that will be enough to prioritise (lots of requirements) and negotiate with the stakeholders.
• Experience with SQL.
• Knowledge about Jira & Confluence.
• Extensive communication skills (both with business users and IT engineers).
• Attention to details.
• Thinking out of the box.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
