The primary purpose of the data analytics department is to provide valuable insights that enable the organization to optimize its supply chain and procurement operations, improve efficiencies, reduce costs and ultimately enhance customer satisfaction. This department helps to identify areas for improvement, uncover opportunities for growth and make data-driven recommendations that support the organization's goals and objectives.

Additionally, the data analytics department plays a key role in shaping the data culture of the organization, promoting best practices in data management and ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and actionable.

Job Description

• The Data Analyst will become Solution Designer for procurement data analytics organization, the tasks and projects are varied and so are the data, the use cases and the technology.
• The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large and diverse datasets, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have experience in gathering requirements, leading projects, and prioritizing tasks.
• As the Data Analyst, you will be accountable for designing and delivering critical analytics to support business operations and forecast key performance indicators such as revenue, cost, cash, and customer delivery.
• This highly technical role is embedded within the business organization and offers the opportunity to shape the analytics functions of supply chain and procurement. Currently, the organization predominantly uses Tableau for descriptive analytics, analyzing data stored in the Amazon Redshift. You will own development of ETL data pipelines, taking responsibility for designing, data modeling, coding, testing, data warehousing, and data engineering.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in staff meetings with business partners to gain a deep understanding of their objectives and challenges

- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on objectives and priorities

- Prioritize tasks effectively and deliver high-quality work within mutually agreed-upon deadlines

- Analyze and explore complex datasets to uncover insights and trends that inform business decisions

- Gather requirements from stakeholders to design effective data analysis and reporting solutions

- Lead and manage data analysis projects from inception to completion

- Ensure data quality and accuracy by validating data sources and cleaning data as necessary

- Develop reports and dashboards using data visualization tools that clearly convey insights and enable effective decision-making

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and visualization to continuously improve and optimize processes and tools.

Basic Requirements

- Having experience in working with large and complex data sets, with the ability to extract insights and develop recommendations from data analysis

- At least 5-7 years of working experience with Analytics & BI tools and services, such as SQL, Redshift, Tableau

- Experience in designing and building ETL/ELT tracks

- Experience in building and maintaining APIs

- Data modeling expertise is beneficial

- Hands-on experience with IT Architecture guidelines & principles

- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from business partners and translate them into data analysis deliverables, as well as manage projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories with data and present insights in a clear and concise manner to a range of stakeholders.

- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and modeling techniques such as regression analysis, clustering, and decision trees.

- Understanding of procurement processes (spend analytics, cost modeling, supplier management, etc.) and previous working experience in procurement is a plus but not a must have.
