Role Overview


Develop and implement payroll strategy and delivery of payroll transformation programme. Lead, manage and direct payroll team of 3 payroll specialists. Manages and directs payroll operations, policies, processes and procedures and drives continuous improvement. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations. Manage and liaise with third party vendors and stakeholders.


What you will do


  • Setting and delivering payroll strategy with HR Operations Leadership
  • Leading payroll transformation, rationalise and automation of payrolls
  • Recommending and delivering continuous improvement and transformation of payroll policies and procedures
  • End to end payroll processing for all Planet countries and entities in a timely and accurate manner (e.g. salaries, benefits, sales incentives, overtime, allowances, deductions, taxes and third party payments)
  • Managing processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, salary changes, role changes, etc)
  • Liaising with Commissions Team to collate commissions data, agree payments, liaise with HR to issue communications, and manage the processing and payment of sales commissions.
  • Ensuring records and processes comply with company and legal regulations, maintaining knowledge of relevant legislation, best practices and trends
  • Maintaining accurate account balances and detailed records for auditing, including liaising with auditors, government agencies/bodies and managing payroll tax audits
  • Managing escalations, resolving issues related to payroll and responding to complex pay / tax queries
  • Preparing payroll reports and financial statements
  • Managing all outsourced payroll providers and contracts

Who you are


  • Experienced Payroll Manager with 3-5 years industry experience
  • Experience in leading a payroll team
  • Manage focus on operational delivery of payroll services and legal compliance
  • Manage vendors and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
