Ryvu Therapeutics is a clinical-stage drug discovery and development company focused on novel small molecule therapies that address emerging targets in oncology.
As a Scientist, you will be part of the research unit and you will contribute to oncology programs supporting the drug discovery process. On the daily basis, you will independently perform chemical experiments – synthesizing, purifying, acquiring, and analyzing data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day-to-day regular laboratory work including the set-up of experiments, analyzing data, interpretation, and reporting of the results.
- Independent development of the tasks to be carried out, proposing the order of priorities for the commissioned work, and obtaining the approval for the work plan within a given time frame.
-
Planning and modification of synthesis pathways based on literature-patent analysis.
- Conducting organic syntheses (classic and modern organic synthesis. e.g. photochemistry, microwaves, flow chemistry, enzymatic).
- Develop and utilize innovative synthetic, medicinal chemistry and/or chemical biology problem-solving skills coupled with analysis of diverse data sets to build structure-activity relationships. Optimization of leading structures in research projects.
- Design, synthesize, purify and characterize drug candidates in target identification, target validation, hit-to-lead, and lead optimization projects.
- Proactively sharing knowledge to address the current synthetic challenges within the project team and helping the team in the development of new paths that: increase synthesis efficiency, address scaling issues, or open up new areas of the main structure for modification.
- Control of raw material/reagent management in the project.
- Working closely with other scientific colleagues across different departments (Analytical, Biology, DMPK).
- Ensuring that experimental work is communicated effectively at internal project meetings.
- Authoring or contributing to regulatory submissions, patents, scientific papers, and other internal documentation relevant to the role.
