Opis stanowiska

Ryvu Therapeutics is a clinical-stage drug discovery and development company focused on novel small molecule therapies that address emerging targets in oncology.

As a Scientist, you will be part of the research unit and you will contribute to oncology programs supporting the drug discovery process. On the daily basis, you will independently perform chemical experiments – synthesizing, purifying, acquiring, and analyzing data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day regular laboratory work including the set-up of experiments, analyzing data, interpretation, and reporting of the results.
  • Independent development of the tasks to be carried out, proposing the order of priorities for the commissioned work, and obtaining the approval for the work plan within a given time frame.
  • Planning and modification of synthesis pathways based on literature-patent analysis.
  • Conducting organic syntheses (classic and modern organic synthesis. e.g. photochemistry, microwaves, flow chemistry, enzymatic).
  • Develop and utilize innovative synthetic, medicinal chemistry and/or chemical biology problem-solving skills coupled with analysis of diverse data sets to build structure-activity relationships. Optimization of leading structures in research projects.
  • Design, synthesize, purify and characterize drug candidates in target identification, target validation, hit-to-lead, and lead optimization projects.
  • Proactively sharing knowledge to address the current synthetic challenges within the project team and helping the team in the development of new paths that: increase synthesis efficiency, address scaling issues, or open up new areas of the main structure for modification.
  • Control of raw material/reagent management in the project.
  • Working closely with other scientific colleagues across different departments (Analytical, Biology, DMPK).
  • Ensuring that experimental work is communicated effectively at internal project meetings.
  • Authoring or contributing to regulatory submissions, patents, scientific papers, and other internal documentation relevant to the role.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Completed university studies in the field of organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry. PhD degree would be an asset.
  • Very good knowledge of the modern methods of synthetic organic chemistry, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of synthetic chemistry and good knowledge of medicinal chemistry.
  • Experience in synthetic route design and in multistep synthesis of organic molecules.
  • Good understanding of the drug discovery process.
  • Understanding of medicinal chemistry - Interprets SAR by combining physicochemical information, and biological and ADME data would be an asset.
  • Effective scientific writing and communication skills.
  • Good spoken and written English.

YOUR BENEFIT PACKAGE

  • Work in one of the most innovative companies in the region with a proven track record and high perspective of growth
  • Participation in challenging and ambitious projects and opportunity for rapid scientific and business career development
  • Collaborative and supportive work culture
  • Training program enabling scientific development: Ryvu Academy, scientific lectures, participation in conferences
  • Package of benefits: Luxmed, Multisport and many others
  • Onsite support for foreigners and help with relocation if needed
