Staff Accountant

Hi! We are Finance Team at Surfer. We oversee a company's productivity and efficiency and collaborate closely with other departments.

Currently, we are looking to hire a Staff Accountant, who will take ownership of all accounting activities for Surfer Poland. The ideal candidate should be motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, have a positive attitude and task prioritization skills. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Head of Accounting.

What you'll be doing:

• keeping books in accordance with accounting and tax regulations
• reconciling accounts, post journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger entries in accordance with accounting principles, and reporting schedules so that organization has a full and accurate statement of financial position
• complying with all accounting principles and all relevant regulations, laws, and standards
• being the first line of contact and support to any General Ledger related queries, supporting internal & external audits
• participating in an internal and external audits
• ensuring the process meets all relevant internal controls
• preparing and reviewing accounts subject to the Balance Sheet review process identifying unusual items, and selecting the correct procedure for action
• actively cooperate with controlling team, non-finance teams, as well as external tax/accounting service providers
• preparing and reviewing tax reports for tax offices (JPK/CIT)
• preparing declarations for NBP and GUS

We might be looking for you if you:

• min. Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent certification
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or financial departments (GL, AP)
• experience in technology and/or subscription business companies
• have a thorough understanding of PL Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and VAT regime
• have excellent English skills - both written and spoken;
• have a "can-do" attitude, take an analytical approach to solve problems, and know
• how to prioritize responsibilities
• are well-organized, detail- and business-oriented, proactive, and helpful
• have excellent analytical skills, coupled with a business-minded approach to work and a willingness to learn new things
• are a fixer and not a complainer
• nice to have - Netsuite experience
