For our client, a company which is a leading logistics operator in the automotive industry, offering a wide range of services such as domestic distribution, domestic and international freight forwarding, warehouse logistics, sea and air transport, as well as customs agency services, we are looking for a Transport Operations Coordinator (marine transport).
The company has a network of 9 logistics platforms and offices, employs over 200 employees in Poland and serves over 1200 customers.
🌍 REMOTE / Katowice
💡 Key duties:
- Ensure smooth management of transport flows for a major client, overseeing contracted transport providers to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Monitor daily transport operations meticulously to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to timelines.
- Take prompt action in case of supplier failure or performance issues, including challenging suppliers, finding alternative solutions, and alerting relevant departments.
- Monitor the execution of transport operations both operationally and administratively, ensuring consistency of data within systems.
- Adapt and optimize transport means, including adjusting loading plans and updating monitoring tables.
- Participate in supplier performance reviews to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of services.
- Colaborate with other teams.
✅ Desired skills & experience:
- Between 2 to 5 years of professional experience.
- Experience and knowledge of managing marine transport.
- Very good command of English - spoken and written.
- Very good command of Spanish or Portuguese.
- Organizational, planning and anticipation skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Once a month visit our office in Katowice.
