Product Owner

Hi! We’re on the lookout for a strong Product Owner who will drive our tech team to deliver the best software solutions to our innovative and industry-leading product.

About us

Digital Gateways offers comprehensive digital customer onboarding in one place. The platform provides ready-made solutions for institutions that can acquire customers without the need to physically visit a branch. DG is one of the few solutions available on the Polish market that enables fully digital customer identity verification and electronic signature of documents. Digital Gateways’ solutions are combined with open banking services provided by AIS Gateway (a subsidiary of Digital Gateways).

We cooperate with large institutions, eg.: banks, insurers and settlement agents.

Digital Gateways is a venture that was created at The Heart - Corporate Venture Builder which builds new businesses, products and services on demand together with corporate clients. Its vision is to integrate technologies created by the ecosystem of tech pioneers and startups to build valuable companies.

The role

Currently we are looking for a top talent who will be an important contributor and key executive to our client-oriented tech projects.

Product owner ideally shall be a person described by Gallup as #achiever, #communicator, with strong #focus and highly #adaptable. We search for top performers who will bring in the mix of product management, entrepreneurship and project management practice with a proven track record of working in IT-heavy environment.

As a product owner you will be the one shaping the products & services coming out of our venture building factory.

As a Senior Product Owner you will:

• Build the value of the Digital Gateways product by taking ownership of the development process from end-to-end - from ideation of new features based on clients' feedback or requests to implementation.
• Have a deep understanding of the developed product and be able to explain how it works to any audience.
• Watch over and build the business requirements, roadmap, and product vision.
• Create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog.
• Plan sprints & conduct retrospectives.
• Coordinate with the internal team to deliver the required solution and review their work.
• Be a partner in discussions with the development team about new features and abilities of the product both from a technical and business perspective.
• Lead corporate client relationships within the scope of the project, including potential required workshops and status meetings.
• Create professional deliverables that support the business development unit by explaining the product value proposition, business model, process steps, etc.

Requirements

We are looking for a person with excellent feeling of both business and IT worlds. Somebody who can recognize and translate business needs to IT requirements and manage product design and delivery.

You are a perfect match if you have:

• At least 3 years of direct experience in digital product development (preferred in the FinTech domain) in a softwarehouse, startup, bank, or insurance company.
• Experience and feel for product prototyping & UX design, enough to manage UX & graphic designers so that our products are beautifully designed and practical.
• Strong ability to continually improve and maximize the value delivered by the product to customers.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, selecting those that provide the greatest value while incurring the lowest possible effort, and the ability to justify these decisions to the team.
• Strong ability to decompose a high-level concept into business requirements and concrete product backlog.
• Experience with Agile methodology. Project management skills are nice to have.
• Advanced proficiency with Jira and Confluence tools.
• Composure while working in a constantly changing environment
• Adeptness in embracing change
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to communicate product goals & vision and explain it to the stakeholders
• Preferred professional background: software house, digital agency, IT consulting, digital professional services industry, corporate product management, preferably in banking or payment verticals.
• Fluent in English in speech and writing.
