OPIS STANOWISKA:

● Position: (Junior) Marketplace Data Analyst, CEE

● Remuneration: 9,000 - 11,000 PLN gross per month

● Address: Uber Polska sp. z o.o., Inflancka 4, Śródmieście, Warszawa

● Type of contract: Contract of employment (UoP), fixed-term with possibility of extension to indefinite employment contract

● Level: specialist (mid / regular), junior specialist (junior)

● Role type: Full-time

● Work model: Hybrid (50%). Tuesdays and Thursdays as anchor days of working in the office ● Technologies:

About the role:

We are looking for candidates for the position of Junior Marketplace Data Analyst / Marketplace Data Analyst for CEE, based in Warsaw.


The Marketplace team within CEE Rides is looking for data analysts with a strong desire to drive business impact. You will be using your broad array of technical skills and business acumen to generate insights that power strategic decisions, e.g., understanding data points along the rider decision-making journey, or isolating the influence of selected venue types on the demand generation. This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on further development of a platform, which provides access to affordable rides across Central & Eastern Europe.


The CEE Rides team is at the heart of Uber’s business. It is responsible for the smooth functioning of the Uber ridesharing marketplace across several distinctive markets in Central and Eastern Europe. CEE Rides monitors the health of the marketplace and financial performance of the business as well as analyses data to derive insights driving decision making.


Your responsibilities:

  • Leverage data to develop analytical insights & present findings to the leadership team to strengthen business decisions
  • Build, maintain and improve analytical tools which will be used to drive business decisions within CEE Rides
  • Evaluate and document the financial and business performance of CEE Rides and share learnings with key stakeholders
  • Identify analytical frameworks and methodologies and provide recommendations on how they can be applied to solve our business problems


Our requirements:

  • 3rd - 5th-year student or graduate in Statistics, Applied Maths, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or a related quantitative field ○ Ability to create dashboards and clear data visualizations
  • Ability to translate data findings into insights and stories for key stakeholders across a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Good knowledge of SQL (understanding of ETL processes will be a plus)


Optional/nice to have:

  • Prior work experience in the data analytics field or strong university credentials (e.g., completed university projects with a proven track record of working with large data sets and models)
  • Experience with one or more scientific programming languages (e.g. R, Python) or statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, STATA, etc.)
  • Experience with ML / AI toolset, and visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
