About the role:


As the Director of Operations, your pivotal role revolves around setting ambitious goals, executing strategic plans, and ensuring timely delivery. Collaborating closely with the founders' team and WIMBA managers, you'll orchestrate the efficient day-to-day operations of the company while driving operational excellence. Your ultimate focus lies in transforming vision into concrete achievements by meticulously planning, executing, and delivering on strategic initiatives, adjusting processes based on customer feedback.


Responsibilities:


Oversee and optimise Wimba's daily operations, including the whole R&D and production process, finance, sales and office operations.

Managing and developing the operations team and leading area managers.

Responsibility for planning, achieving operational goals, and managing budgets.

Planning the company's expansion, including establishing new offices and seeking optimal solutions, logistics possibilities, partners outsourcing in different countries.

Evaluate and improve performance indicators and reporting mechanisms.

Scaling operations and puncturing the company's vision into specific operations.

Managing relationships with WIMBA partners and customers and maintaining effective communication with them.

Developing and implementing efficient operational processes and ensuring repeatable processes.

Act as a company representative at events, supporting networking opportunities.


Our requirements:


📍 Experience as COO / Director position in an operations department

📍 Experience in fast-growing startups or other rapidly changing environments in hardware manufacturing / innovations / production management.

📍 Experience working in international markets, including the US, UK and EU. Experience in scaling operations globally.

📍 Very good knowledge of English (B2+) and Polish (C1).

📍 Demonstrated experience implementing processes, initiatives and driving change

📍 Excellent leadership and management skills, with a focus on building and motivating teams.

📍 Proven experience managing one of the following key functions: Operations, Finance / Accounting and Manufacturing / Design

📍 Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and achieve strategic goals.

📍 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

📍 Strategic thinking with the ability to make informed decisions and act under pressure.
