About the role

We are looking for Quants and IT affine professionals experienced in the insurance industry to join our team

How you will get the job done

• developing and maintaining various technical solutions for ERGO Group Risk Management (IDP – “individual data processing”): a technical solution for the coordination of model changes in the Munich Re Group Internal Model and Technical Provisions, and a technical solution for the tracking of findings (validation, internal and external auditor, etc.)
• new setting up of calculation tools for risk capital calculations
• setting up of professional database solutions for the results of risk capital calculations
• further developing and maintaining of IDP tools
• maintaining and customer supporting regarding “Excel best practic”
• establishing and maintaining professional SharePoint environment for information and data exchange between ERGO Group Risk Management and the single insurance companies, including in particular concepts for access rights

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent English
• university degree in mathematics, computer science or comparable education
• advanced programming skills ideally in R, VBA, Matlab
• understanding and experience in data models and data processing
• capability of understanding business requirements and implementation of those (bridge to IT)
• basic understanding of quantitative risk management for insurance companies
• very good communication skills and a strong team spirit
• ability to work independently
• proactive approach to work
• willingness to travel abroad (once-twice per quarter, 2/3 days)
