We invite an experienced Senior Technical Artist to join our team and conquer new heights with us!
Responsibilities:
As a Technical Artist specializing in optimization and Unreal Engine generalist tasks, you will be responsible for improving the performance and efficiency of game assets, shaders, and environments across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with the art and engineering teams to ensure that the game's visual quality is maintained while meeting performance targets. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background combined with a deep understanding of Unreal Engine's optimization techniques and generalist capabilities.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Developing and refining tools and techniques for optimizing game assets, shaders, and environments within Unreal Engine or clients' proprietary engines.
- Optimizing existing content to enhance performance across multiple platforms while maintaining visual quality.
- Writing documentation for optimization workflows, tools, and best practices to support team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in game development or other CG industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist.
- Proficient in using Unreal Engine 4 or 5 or any other industry - leading game engines with a deep understanding of its art and rendering pipelines.
- Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques and best practices in game development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with artists, designers, and programmers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and address issues in procedural content generation processes.
- Analytical mindset to optimize and fine-tune procedural algorithms for performance and visual quality.
- Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and able to iterate and improve procedural systems based on feedback.
Will Be a Plus:
- Expertise in developing custom tools and scripts to enhance and streamline art workflows.
- Expertise in creating and optimizing shaders, materials, and visual effects for game environments.
- Knowledge of at least one 3D modeling, texturing, and animation software, such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Bllender and Substance Package.
- Scripting languages as Python, Vex, MEL and Maxscript.
- Experience with VFX software like Embergen or Niagara plugin in UE is a plus.
