Aion Bank is a fully regulated European bank and credit institution, combining Vodeno’s cutting-edge, private blockchain-based platform with its ECB banking license, strong balance sheet, and deep regulatory expertise. As part of the UniCredit Group, Aion Bank and Vodeno will accelerate their digital banking offer in strategic markets and will act as a sandbox for innovation for the wider UniCredit Group. Aion Bank and Vodeno's existing Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering across key European markets, including Germany and Poland, will see the bank embed its services - ranging from account access and deposits to lending, payments and loyalty programs - directly into non-banking digital platforms, facilitating seamless customer experiences.

We are currently looking for a Senior Banker ready to join our adventure, share our ambition and help shape the future of digital banking.


What you will be doing?


As a Senior Banker, you will have a wide range of responsibilities ranging from leading relationships with the bank’s most significant corporate clients, their top management and owners all the way to engaging in complex structured finance transactions and M&A deals. You will act as a key point of contact, delivering tailored financial solutions and strategic insights to support clients in achieving their long-term business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of financial products and services, industry dynamics, and the ability to drive value across complex organizational structures.


Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic corporate and investment banking clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

● Identify client needs and provide comprehensive financial solutions, drawing on the Group’s full range of products and services.

● Originating and executing investment banking transactions.

● Collaborate closely with all coverage and product specialists, risk teams, and senior management to structure and implement customized financial strategies.

● Oversee preparation of internal credit memos, financial analysis and modelling, lead risk assessment as well as present cases to key decision takers.

● Monitor client portfolios and proactively identify opportunities for growth, cross-sell, and risk mitigation.

● Lead client meetings and strategic reviews, ensuring continuous alignment with clients’ evolving business objectives and needs.

● Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends impacting clients.

● Oversee the creation of all materials for external and internal stakeholders, pitch books, and relationship strategies in alignment with internal policies and compliance

standards.

● Manage and negotiate all forms of documentation i.a. term sheets, facility agreements, waivers, and other legal documentation.

● Coordinate all work streams throughout the entire transactional process.

● Be an effective mentor for junior team members.

● Actively contribute to the development of the bank’s corporate and investment banking strategy by providing client insights and market feedback.


Skills you should have:

● University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.

● Minimum 7–10 years of experience in corporate & investment banking, finance, advisory or Private Equity.

● Proven track record of managing complex client relationships (including c-level executives and owners), delivering tailored financial solutions and building sustainable revenue streams.

● Extensive background in transactions’ origination, structuring and execution, credit analysis, and financial modelling.

● Practical knowledge of financial products (including debt capital markets) and loan and M&A documentation (including LMA standards).

● Ability to analyze and conduct independent due diligence of various transactions as well as ability to identify industry trends & risk.

● Ability to lead, coordinate and execute complex transactions.

● Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.

● Proficient with MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, Power Point Competencies.

● Excellent command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

● High ethical standards, strong business acumen, and a client-centric mindset.
