AP Accountant with German
Key Responsibilities:
Review, validate, and post supplier invoices (PO and non-PO), credit notes, and travel expenses in the accounting system (OCR, Dynamics 365).
Maintain and update vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage supplier communications, respond to inquiries, provide proof of payment, and support documentation requests.
Monitor supplier accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on overdue items.
Prepare payment proposals and assist in posting payments.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including GR/IR reconciliations and aging reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting rules and local regulations.
Participate in transition and knowledge transfer sessions and help document processes.
Review current AP processes, suggest improvements, and support automation or other improvement projects.
Collaborate with local and international teams to complete tasks efficiently and on time.
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Strong knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
Experience in SSC/BPO environments and process documentation is a plus.
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a bonus.
Fluent in English and good German (written and spoken).
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
Customer-oriented, solution-focused, and a good team player.
Willingness to travel occasionally for short-term transitions.
