GL Accountant with English

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute month/quarter/year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting processes, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Resolve discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain clean balances.
• Optimize financial accounting processes and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, statutory regulations, and GAAP principles.
• Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
• Apply LEAN methodologies to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
• Maintain and update desktop procedures for financial processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Economics, or a related financial field.
• At least 1 year of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with SAP; knowledge of Hyperion, Cadency, or SAP S4 Hana is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
