Quality Assurance Engineer for Mechanical Development
Location: Kraków (hybrid - 2 times per week in the office)

Responsibilities

Product Development Process (PDP) Customization: Adapt the existing PDP to align with the specific requirements of mechanical development for eDrive products, ensuring the process meets project goals and performance standards.

V-Cycle Process Implementation: Develop and execute the V-Cycle process for Mechanical Engineering Components (MEC), establishing clear and efficient stages from concept to validation that align with project objectives.

Stage-Gate Model Integration: Ensure the mechanical development process aligns with the Stage-Gate Model, setting clear milestones, criteria, and deliverables for smooth progression at each stage.

Template Customization for Work Products: Customize, review, and release work product templates for eDrive systems, ensuring consistency and clarity throughout the mechanical development lifecycle.

Role Definition and Team Alignment: Define and refine team roles within the mechanical development process, ensuring clear responsibilities and accountability tailored to eDrive product development needs.

Guideline Development and Maintenance: Create, update, and refine workflow guidelines that provide precise instructions for each step in the mechanical development process, with a focus on eDrive-specific requirements.

Global Team Collaboration: Work closely with global engineering teams to refine and standardize workflows, templates, and processes for mechanical development, supporting effective collaboration across regions and projects.

Process Optimization for eDrive Systems: Continuously refine and improve the mechanical development process to meet the unique requirements of eDrive products, enhancing relevance and efficiency.

eDrive EDF Rollout and Implementation: Facilitate the implementation and rollout of the tailored eDrive Engineering Development Framework (EDF), ensuring successful adoption among teams focused on mechanical development.

Training and Knowledge Transfer: Lead training and coaching efforts for team members on the tailored mechanical development process, covering the V-Cycle, Stage-Gate Model, and eDrive EDF, to ensure full readiness.

Process Review and Alignment: Regularly review and adjust the tailored PDP and V-Cycle to maintain alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and integration with other engineering disciplines.

Stage-Gate Review Support: Provide support for Stage-Gate reviews by ensuring adherence to tailored guidelines and validating that mechanical deliverables meet required criteria before advancing to the next stage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of the V-Cycle process, with proven application to mechanical engineering in product development environments
- Experience implementing Stage-Gate models within mechanical engineering, ensuring well-defined milestones and deliverables at each development stage
- Proficiency in creating and customizing work product templates, workflow guidelines, and other process documentation for mechanical development
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working with global teams to refine and standardize engineering processes, methods, and tools
- Experience training and coaching teams on new processes, including rollout and adoption of tailored development frameworks like the eDrive EDF
- Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools for mechanical design and development
- Experience and/or training in APQP, DFM/DFA
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of TeamCenter, NX
- Experience in technical writing
