SAP Ariba Operational Expert


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main liaison connecting internal stakeholders, IT teams, and SAP Ariba support to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee relationships with external service providers and escalate complex technical challenges to the Ariba Technical Architect when needed.
  • Configure and maintain SAP Ariba settings, such as user roles, approval workflows, and system filters, in line with company procurement standards.
  • Support the rollout and daily management of procurement technologies within the organization.
  • Track and analyze usage data of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems, preparing insights and reports for procurement and finance departments to optimize tool effectiveness.
  • Evaluate new software updates, apply necessary adjustments, and facilitate related change management activities.
  • Demonstrate strong functional expertise across Ariba modules and understand their integration within the broader procurement system.
  • Proactively identify business requirements and recommend solutions that support cross-departmental objectives and improve adoption rates.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams to achieve successful outcomes and deliver value.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences across various departments and hierarchy levels.
  • Support internal communications related to system improvements and upcoming releases with the Ariba team.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Purchasing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in Procurement, Finance, or similar areas, specifically with Procure-to-Pay technologies.
  • Proven ability to handle typical project activities including test planning, creating test scenarios, analyzing processes, documenting results, customizing solutions, and delivering user training.
  • Strong skills in managing projects with a focus on achieving concrete outcomes.
  • Capacity to understand long-term goals and effectively lead key initiatives.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a dynamic setting.
  • Practical experience with Procure-to-Pay processes, technology platforms, and organizational frameworks is essential.
  • Background in either technical or functional consulting is advantageous.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, is required.
