Senior Financial Accountant

What you will do:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local regulations and international standards (e.g., IFRS, HGB).

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax laws, and company guidelines.

• Oversee the general ledger accounting cycle and month-end closing activities.

• Reconcile GL accounts (e.g., banks, receivables, payables, provisions) and resolve discrepancies.

• Provide financial reports, analyses, and data for audits and tax reviews.

• Support Regional Finance teams with tax and reporting matters.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes through accurate financial insights.

• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting.

• Support ERP or accounting system implementations.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Accountant) is an advantage.

• Several years of accounting experience, ideally in a Shared Service Center environment.

• Good knowledge of IFRS and solid understanding of general ledger processes.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and MS Excel.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

• Fluent in English; German or other European languages are a plus.
