Senior Procurement Specialist with German

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers while negotiating pricing and contract terms.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide second-level support for process-related inquiries and assist in resolving escalated vendor issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and address concerns with non-compliant vendors.
• Offer guidance on special procedures and procurement best practices.
• Oversee the Req-to-Pay process and support Buyers & Agents in resolving procurement challenges.
• Lead sourcing activities for direct spend, including identifying needs, managing RFx processes, developing strategies, and negotiating contracts within set thresholds.
• Prepare and issue quick-turnaround quotations for small-value purchases from existing suppliers.
• Design and implement tender strategies, define contract and response requirements, and shortlist potential suppliers.
• Support the supplier evaluation and selection process to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Manage contract execution and ensure compliance with client terms and conditions.

You are the right person for the role if you:

• Min. 4 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a preference for indirect category sourcing.
• Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to engage effectively with suppliers.
• Proven experience in client management and maintaining strong business relationships.
• Hands-on expertise with e-sourcing tools such as Ariba or similar platforms.
• Practical knowledge of conducting Spot Buys and supplier contract analysis.
• Fluency in English and German, with strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Familiarity with contract structures, including key clauses and legal terms.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving performance objectives.
