Title: Tax Expert with German

Location: Poznań

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to the Global Tax Counsel and the EMEA region for a key client in the automotive sector.
• Assist in preparing year-end taxable income forecasts for Germany, covering both current and deferred taxes.
• Support the preparation of tax basis balance sheets and opening balance sheets.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve questions, discrepancies, and inaccuracies.
• Review the recognition of economic events to ensure the accuracy of tax settlements.
• Collaborate with PTP, OTC, and RTR departments to minimize the risk of accounting errors impacting tax compliance.
• Continuously monitor and assess changes in tax regulations to ensure up-to-date compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong understanding of German corporate tax rules, Experience with German KG entity structures and tax reporting requirements
• Knowledge of German trade tax (Gewerbesteuer) preferred
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working in a tax department.
• Solid practical knowledge of taxation, including income tax.
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Taxation (preferred).
• Fluency in German (both spoken and written) and proficiency in English.
• Strong command of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• In-depth understanding of German corporate tax regulations.
• Experience with German KG entity structures and tax reporting obligations.
• Familiarity with German trade tax (Gewerbesteuer) is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with SAP; knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.
