Role description:

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to lead and grow a Sustainable advisory & Compliance team based in Poland, currently composed of 5–6 consultants and expected to expand. This role requires strong leadership, combined with solid technical expertise and a strong business development focus. The Team Leader will be accountable for team performance, quality of delivery, team development and growth, while actively contributing to business development.The position is embedded within the Resilience Business Line, with close operational and commercial collaboration with Resilience Teams across Europe and the Places teams in Poland.  


Role accountabilities:

Team Leadership 

•    Directly manage a team of consultants (advisory, environmental, H&S, compliance).

•    Inspire, mobilize and develop team members, enabling them to grow in responsibility, expertise and impact as the business expands.

•    Provide a clear vision and direction for the team, creating strong engagement, ownership and a shared sense of purpose.

•    Coach, mentor and support team members in their technical, professional and career development.

•    Lead the team through a phase of growth, adjusting team structure and responsibilities as needed.

•    Manage complex assignments for real estate and industrial sites, including portfolios across Europe.

•    Ensure workload planning, resource allocation and staffing across projects.

•    Contribute to recruitment activities (interviews, onboarding, team structuring).

•    Ensure quality, consistency, timelines and compliance with internal standards.


Business Development 

•    Act as a seller-doer, with a clear mandate to grow revenue across Poland for the Sustainable advisory & Compliance activity.

•    Identify and develop new business opportunities in Poland and across Europe.

•    Leverage an established personal and professional network.

•    Lead and contribute to proposal elaboration (technical scope, pricing, risk, negotiations).

•    Support development of new services and offerings within the Sustainable advisory & Compliance activity.

•    Act as a senior client interface and trusted advisor.

•    Develop long-term client relationships and repeat business.

•    Work closely with European technical experts, business developers and account leaders on cross-border projects and opportunities. 


Qualifications & Experience:

•    Master’s degree in environmental engineering, H&S,  Sustainability or equivalent.

•    Senior-level experience in environmental, H&S or sustainable advisory, including client leadership and business development.

•    Ability to lead teams by setting a clear direction, engaging and developing people in line with business growth and ambition.

•    Track record of building and scaling teams by developing skills and increasing responsibility.

•    Proven ability to identify and develop advisory engagements, from client need identification to proposal shaping and contract closure.

•    Experience working in international and multicultural environments would be an advantage.

•    Ability to provide vision, leadership and structure in a growing advisory environment, engaging teams and clients around clear priorities.

•    Strong advisory expertise with senior client exposure.

•    Identifies client needs, structures advisory solutions and converts them into concrete consulting engagements.

•    Leadership focused on delivering value and growing the business.

•    Fluent Polish and English is mandatory (spoken and written).
