Finance Manager (Maternity Cover - 18 month FTC)

The Role 

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join Product Madness on an 18-month fixed-term contract as a maternity cover. This is a well-established, stable role with mature processes and systems already in place, focused on continuity, quality, and ownership rather than transformation. Based in Gdańsk, you will take end-to-end responsibility for month-end close, statutory reporting, audit management, planning and analysis while acting as a trusted finance business partner to local and global stakeholders, including UK-based FP&A teams. 

This role offers a high level of autonomy, exposure to global finance processes, and close collaboration with consulting companies. 

What You’ll Do 

• Take full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with group standards. 

• Manage statutory financial statements and lead the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact. 

• Ensure financial compliance, internal controls oversight and alignment with local and group requirements. 

• Own budgeting and forecasting for operational expenses (OPEX), including variance analysis and performance reporting. 

• Act as a Finance Business Partner to multiple stakeholders, including UK-based FP&A, HR and global finance teams. 

• Provide quality review and assurance of financial deliverables and reporting outputs. 

• Manage and coordinate the scope of work of one direct report (Financial Accountant), ensuring clarity, quality and timely delivery. 

What You’ll Bring 

• 1–2 years of experience in a Finance Manager role (or equivalent managerial position), OR 

• 5+ years of experience in finance roles such as Senior Controller, Senior Accountant or Audit Senior, with readiness to step into a Finance Manager role. 

• Experience in controlling with an understanding of accounting or experience in financial auditing 

• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting processes. 

• Exposure to financial statement audits and cooperation with external auditors. 

• Confidence working independently with a high level of ownership in a lean local setup. 

• Ability to act as a business partner, translating financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders. 

• Working knowledge of tax compliance and internal controls is an advantage. 

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field is desirable. 

• Fluent Polish & English enabling effective collaboration with international teams.
